FAA Medical Exams

The purpose of the FAA medical exam is to ensure that your health won't place you or anyone else at risk while you're in the air. Dr. Medina Galvan is a designated FAA Aviation Medical Examiner. At the moment, we offer Class 2 and 3 Flight Physicals for pilots. The Flight Physical cost is $150.

The FAA will receive the information uploaded into MedXpress, and your AME will have access to it when conducting the exam. To  fill out the required form please go to https://medxpress.faa.gov

  • Depending on the airman’s medical conditions and the medical examiner’s discretion, additional testing may be necessary. For instance, an EKG is an additional$50 and a urinalysis is $20.

  • There will be an up front $50 reservation deposit that will count towards your exam. Payment is due at the time of the examination. We accept cash and credit cards. We will not file with your insurance provider.

  • A 24-hour notice is required to reschedule an exam. Exams canceled with less than 24-hour notice will not be rescheduled and subject to a $50 no-show fee.

  • The Airman Medical Exam is NOT a replacement for your primary care physician's annual preventative physical. This visit is considered an occupational screening exam and not a therapeutic physician visit or evaluation. Therefore, we are not treating you for medical conditions at this exam.
